Savannah- Douglas W. "Pete" Gunn, 74, passed away, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Hospice House.
He was born in Crawfordville, GA to Paul and Mary Lucy Gunn and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Pete retired after over twenty years of civil service at Hunter Army Air Field. He enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife of twenty eight years, Wilma Gunn; daughter and son-in-law, Terre and Buddy Carter, all of Savannah; son and daughter-in –law, Michael and Ileana Boyles; grandchildren, Lizzy and Sean Boyles, all of Miami, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Barney Treneman, and niece and nephew, Dawn and Gardner Treneman, all of Fayetteville, NC.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
